Overview
A 31 second launch film for Stikkly, a shared canvas where teams pin notes, files and tasks and ask an AI assistant about the board. It opens on a 3D workspace, pushes into the product on a tablet, and ends on short type beats about fewer meetings and clearer decisions.
The challenge
Collaboration software tends to look the same on screen: rectangles and cursors. The film had to make a canvas of sticky notes feel physical and inviting, and still show the real interface clearly enough that people understand what the product does.
Approach
- I built a full 3D room as the opening set: a desk, chair, shelving, plants and a tablet, in the product's blue with soft pastel props, so the first shot feels like a real place where work happens.
- From the desk the camera pushes into the tablet, and the sticky notes, images and file cards lift off the canvas as real objects. A 3D cursor and pinned paper bridge the room and the interface.
- Mid film, the UI panels fan out as layered glass sheets with floating emoji and coins, a quick way to show many views of the product at once.
- The final beats switch to motion type on blue: "Decisions", "when your team starts work, they understand why", "Few Meetings". The 3D was built and rendered in Blender, and the type, timing and edit were done in After Effects.
